ZOOM

The Collingwood Film Club has had a running start to the new school year, starting out with a record of three teams competing in Zoomfest 2019 – a 48 hour film festival where student filmmakers put their creative production skills to the test.

The concept of Zoomfest is that on Thursday night at 5pm, a prompt and prop go live and provide the base for all student films being submitted to the festival by 5pm on Saturday. This year our theme was “haste makes waste,” accompanied by the prop of a glove.

The 48 hours of filmmaking and creating that always goes into our final product on the Zoom weekend provides plenty of challenges for a crew that has to conceptualize, write, shotlist, shoot, edit and submit all within the 48 hours allotted.
