Christopher Nolan takes us on an exhilarating futuristic adventure, and somewhere along the way, you have to abandon all logic and simply enjoy the ride! The movie takes you through a series of time-twisting narratives and, by the end, leaves your head spinning. We start with the recruitment of a young operative that tries to do the right thing in the best interest of the world. He accompanies him on his journey to battle against megalomaniac. A worthwhile movie to distract you from those COVID blues!

2. Enola Holmes

The name Holmes may ring a bell from her famous detective brother Sherlock Holmes’s books and movies, but his spunky sister takes the spotlight in her feature film. Millie Bobby Brown stars in this movie as Enola Holmes, a 16-year-old girl searching for her missing mother. A very different take from what some of us know about Sherlock’s sister from BBC’s sophisticated (and sometimes eerie) modern telling of this beloved detective series. She’s smart and courageous! You can’t help but cheer her on. Sherlock certainly did! Catch this fun adventure on Netflix, and it’ll leave you wanting a sequel!

3. David Attenborough: A Life On Our Planet

With one of the most well-known voices in the world, David Attenborough shares the stories of his natural history adventures with us. He is well-travelled, exploring some of the most remote areas on Earth. Sadly, David has also witnessed its demise. He has watched the planet’s biodiversity deteriorate because of human’s poor choices. David/Attenborough claims that this documentary is his “witness statement” and implores each of us to listen to his findings and suggestions to salvage our home. A relevant film to watch immediately!

4. The Social Dilemma

This eye-opening film takes a deep dive into what goes on behind the scenes of all of your favourite social media platforms. The documentary shows interviews of people who helped build these platforms and who now fear the adverse effects their creations have on the users’ mental health and its influence. The film takes us through the life of a fictional family and how technology plays a crucial role in their children’s existence. Viewers witness firsthand the pull of social media and the negative impacts that come with it. It is remarkably effective at sounding the alarm on data-mining and manipulative technology. Watch this extremely relevant film on Netflix!
