“The Operator” – Collingwood takes on Mulgrave’s Zoomfest 2016

During the October 20th long weekend, 7 students from the Collingwood Film Club were busy with the intense ride known as Zoomfest, a film festival that challenges teams of students from all over BC to make a film within a 48 hour time limit. On 5pm on Thursday, a theme and prop was announced on the Zoomfest website, which we had to include in our film. The theme was “between a rock and a hard place” and the prop was a “radio.”

The film – everything from the first line of the screenplay to the last edit of sound design – was created by Bryn Cowan, Harrison Fuller, Bella Hallam, Stefan Kowalski, Nikolai Osborn, Sian Shin, and Selina Zhou, while under the supervision of Mr Francis and Mr. Pimentel.

From converting the corner of a classroom into a 1940’s attic to filming in the middle of the forest in the pouring rain for 2 hours, we had quite the amazing experience.

Without further ado, here is Collingwood’s own Room 204 Productions’ film titled The Operator…
