Have No Fear… PTC is Here!

Cramming, Caffeine, and Chaos… it’s needless to say that it’s that time of year again. That’s right. It’s Exam time!

Now instead of feeling sorry for yourself, it’s time to get up and tackle those notes sitting in your room. Whether it’s homework, studying for a test, or needing some motivation, the PTC has got you covered.

Collingwood’s latest initiative, Peer Tutoring Club, is headed by Jin Wan Kim and is intended to assist students in their courses as well as help them prepare for exams. All students are free to drop by Wednesday’s after school in room A252, from 3:15- 4:30 to have all of their questions answered by student tutors. The club has a variety of tutors, ranging from grades 8 through 12 whose areas of expertise are in specific courses at Collingwood.

That being said, this new initiative is still searching for keen students to act as student tutors for this club. The more courses PTC can provide help in… the better! Keep in mind that this club is not just for students who need help in their courses, but also benefits the tutors as well! Tutors can also use this time to do their own work when they are not tutoring students. Did I forget to mention that student tutors will be given 2 service hours for attending?

If you have any questions or concerns, or are interested in becoming a tutor, email Jin Kim at jin.kim@collingwood.org. Potential tutors should list the courses that they are comfortable providing assistance in, as well as their name and grade.

The PTC is an excellent opportunity for students to ask questions, make new friends, and ace those exams! See you on Wednesday!
