Well folks, it’s almost that time of year again. The season full of excitement, joy, spirit and hopefully snow. The sleigh bells are ringing and everyone will soon be singing the classic Rod Stewart and Mariah Carey Christmas soundtracks. However, it is not the gingerbread latte from Starbucks or Santa visiting each of our homes on Christmas morning we are looking forward to, it is that well deserved Christmas break. Wow, did we ever need that. Term one has flown by faster than ever and we are nearing the light at the end of the tunnel and we can feel the freedom on the other side of that light.
Here at Collingwood, the student executive did a lot over the past week to raise the Christmas spirit. In addition to the Christmas themed assembly, where holiday themed games were played and festive sweaters were dawned, Collingwood participated into a new door decorating competition! Mentor classes were challenged to decorate their classroom door with wrapping paper, ribbon, ornaments, and the like!
