Collingwood’s Physics Olympians!

On March 7th, an eager group of Collingwood Physics students attended the 37th annual Physics Olympics at UBC. The day featured six different events, which required the students to collaborate with one another and solve physics and astronomy themed challenges. Claiming three of the six gold medals (in the Fermi Questions, Quizzics and Mystery events), the Collingwood Team won first place out of the fifty competing schools. Collingwood’s stellar team was comprised of Michael Chen, Emily Hou, Jerry Lee, Leon Lee and Richard Zhang. Ms. Frykberg, one of the teams mentors, commented “They collaborated very well in the competition and were very supportive of each other.”

We congratulate them on their great achievement in Physics!
